‘Dedicated to excellence in all I do’ is the mantra I strive for. It’s difficult to blaze your own path, but I think that’s why I like what I do- creating something from raw materials, pulling ideas from some cranial crevasse and bringing it to light in the tangible world. It is very satisfying! Lofty goals may be hard to hit, but most people won’t even try.
As long as I can remember, I’ve thought to make things, change them, even break them to see what made them work. And before ‘maker’ was a term, I was doing just that. My first inspiration I suppose, was my dad, I remember him building Heathkit electronic projects as a hobby, WAY before anyone thought of Arduino.
In college I studied materials and manufacturing principles and applied those skills to creating custom cars. My partner in the process and I won a ‘People’s Choice’ award at the Knott’s Berry Farm Kit Car Show, for a Ferrari replica we built.
I’ve done a mash-up of sorts, taking that ‘maker’ instinct to the vocation I have enjoyed for many years: Video and film production, post-production, location sound and sound reinforcement, sound effects, etc.

Somewhere in Nevada.
I’m blessed to have great friends and family. I recently had the privilege of the company of some great people, whom I’m even related to. Visiting the land of my forefathers really charges me up. The wide open spaces, un-huddled masses, yearning to breathe free! Maybe that was just a heard of sheep and goats…
Anyhoo, I enjoy my work, and the ideas that are spawned in my head! The ethereal inspiration is always there, frequently tapped, often acted upon. And I thank God for his continued involvement in life on earth. We’d be toast without it.
